Offender: Uncle (Raped & Violated “by her Mother-Sister-Husband”)
In a depressed and marginalized society, a “Southern Creole-Indian-Cajun”,
(Mixed Breed) beautiful baby girl was born and raised by a single mother. Being the only child, she grew up in an LGBT (homosexual) household with reveling alcoholic parents.
Without her father being a active participant in her life, at the tender age of twelve years old
A young Carolyn was violated by her mother-sister-husband, in other words (her uncle).
Back in the 50’s & 60’s, poor people were taught to keep secrets.
The minorities swept sin, injustice, crime, violations and corruption under the rug.
Religious minorities and poverty stricken communities old cliches lurking in the shadows went a little something like this, “What goes on in my household, stays in my house’. Or “What goes on behind closed doors, stays behind closed doors. Or “What happens in the family, remain in the family”.
Subsequently losing sight of their creation of passing down generational traumas and curses to the next generation. The Bible tells us that” An enemy exposed is, an enemy destroyed or defeated”, (Ephesians 5:13). This means when hidden schemes, lies or deceptive tactics or sin are brought to the light or to the forefront, they ultimately loses their power and elements of survival and surprises. We cannot fight or disarm an opponent or problem that we cannot see and/or that we do not address; exposure gets straight to the root causes. We must open our consciousness to our perceptions and learn that secret, hidden agendas, sin, unrighteousness and dark strategies rely solely upon shadow and ignorance to work efficiently and effectively.
Whenever people begins to realize, recognize and accept the real source behind trials, tribulations or conflicts, this awareness will strip away the advantages of oppression, opposition, inequality and injustice, which sparks our immediate discernment, clarity, tolerance for our ultimate power to our liberation.
Which brings about change and justice for everyone involved. Unfortunately young defenseless Carolyn was not awarded this outcome. Lack of support and advocacy, generated her mental illness’s. That’s when her introduction to criminal activity began. She turned towards crime, drugs the streets, prostitution, religion and homelessness.
Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God knows the plans that he has for us.
God has plans to prosper his people, not to harm them, and to give them hope and a future. God spoke these words through the prophet Jeremiah to the ancient Israelites who were living as captives in Babylon. The message told them to settle down in Babylon because they would be there for 70 years before returning home.
As the same went for Carol her bondage commenced.
This Prophesy was the bedrock for her soon to come future, that God had planned out for her.
She didn’t have anyone to teach her family structures, values, morals or Love.
The hood/streets was her classroom, her peers were sexual immorality, deceit, perversion and addictions. Her vanity paid off in her favor by worldly virtue of multiple baby daddies, “her three son’s father’s that is”. She conceived her firstborn son while in a relationship with his father. They fought like cats and dogs. Their courtship grew weaker and ultimately came to an abrupt end. Carolyn went on to have in between affairs with many men throughout her
Lifestyles. Her middle son & baby boy was the second and third conceptions, they both share the same father. This relationship was very taxing for her, by way of constant infidelities as it also dissolved. Now she’s forced into single parenting with her mother’s
help and government assistance.
Her Children suffered serious mental health problems from her persisted drug and alcohol addictions. This is where the recidivism of generational trauma and curses are yet again passed down through the parents. While in and out of prison, doing drugs and dabbling in prostitution her mother raised her son’s. After more than 20 years of crimes against herself and nature.
Carolyn checked into rehab and mental health services. That when she gained a true found relationship with Jesus Christ. Religion was no more important to her. She traded her lifestyle for Holiness. Traveling the world Evangelizing was her calling. To top it off she married a Preacher and became an Elect Lady.
Trials, Tribulations and extreme warfare became her burden. On top of that while traveling with her Ministry, Husband & Evangelicals she found out that “she was HIV positive.”
Her husband became mentally,spiritually and physically abusive. I remember when we got the call from her. Informing us of her diagnosis and all of the warfare she had been up against.
I wept like a new born baby, my heart became heavy and broken for her. We begged her to come home to live with us. At this time I was married to one of her sons (her middle boy), we’re now divorced, with 4 beautiful children of our own and three beautiful grandchildren.
Fortunately we divorced 2017, but our families are very close knitted. We are a blended family now, as he’s happily dating and I am now remarried to my amazing Boaz (husband).
Back to the subject at hand our Glam. This is her nickname that her grand babies gave to her, we all have adopted it. SHE’S OUR GLAM-MOM. Glam moved from Florida to New
Orleans. She now had dual residency our home and her mother home. She helped raised our children and taught us about her illnesses.
I remember going to meetings and church with her often. We received a lot of hate and judgment from my side of the family because their ignorance of not being fully educated about her HIV and mental health illnesses. But her Son & I remained supportive of her health care. We loved on her in spite of the ridicule and backlash she/we were subjected to. We remained steadfast, committed and unmoved as we were the center of slander. We ate off the same utensils, we drank from the same cup, we were educated concerning her health. We went to doctors appointments and advocacy meetings, we attended family support meetings we went the whole nine yards, because she’s our Mother our Children Grandmother Our Glam, She’s Ours! Point blank period.
Hurricane Katrina 8/29/2005
The devastation of hurricane Katrina left our family displaced. Glam, her eldest son & baby boy all were stuck in the New Orleans Superdome. Their shelter quickly became
Their nightmare, prisoners / refugees were what the news outlets labeled them as. We on the other hand evacuated to Austin,Tx. Soon after Glam moved to Denver Colorado, with her family. She ultimately decided to relocated to Austin, Texas.
Where she remains to this day
With her sons and grandchildren. A few years ago Glam buried her husband and her first born son. She lost her footing for a season. Homeless again, bruised and grieving, was the catalyst that galvanized her advocacy of rights and equality for others. She stands tall, through it all. She bent, but did not break. She currently wears her pain as her purpose. Carolyn “Glam” Williams arose from her ashes like a phoenix 🐦🔥
She walked through the fire 🔥 and came out on the other side PURE Gold. SHE IS SHINNING BRIGHT LIKE THE LIGHT SHE ILLUMINATES 💡
Carolyn now travels the world advocating with
Vocal Texas. and ministering to her community and people she encounters on a daily basis. Jeremiah 29:11 fulfilling her God Ordained Purpose.
She’s not only surviving she’s thriving.
